New Eagtac Flashlights for 2017

Eagtac T25L-R

Eagtac recently announced several new high intensity LED flashlights for 2017. Here is a brief look at the new offerings.

T25L Rechargeable

The T25L flashlight is rated as a 1603 lumen flashlight (using the FL-1 standard) that uses a 2,600 mAh li-ion battery. According to the representative I spoke with, you can adjust the output level of this light by rotating the head. For this light, Eagtac opted to use a USB type C connector for charging. I expect to see more of these connectors being used in rechargeable flashlights in the future.

Eagtac TX30C2

According to Eagtac this is designed to be a high output light in a small package. It is 5″ long and weighs less than 4 ounces. It can run on CR123A batteries or a 18650 battery. Like the T25L above, it is rated at 1,603 lumens using the FL-1 standard. It has a pair of buttons at the head to control on and off plus the output levels. In addition to five output levels of varying intensity, the light also has beacon and SOS modes. For me, this is not an ideal design for self-defense applications.

Eagtac MX30L4

If you are looking for a lot of light, this flashlight offers a bunch. It uses four CREE XP-L HI V3 LED modules to throw more than 4,000 lumens (per FL-1 testing). Of course, that kind of light needs serious juice. You have the option of running this on either 8 CR123A batteries or four 18650 batteries. With four 18650 batteries, run time on the maximum output is listed as 90 minutes.
