1940s Alabama ferry reborn as luxury fishing lodge the Waypoint
The Plaquemines, a Mississippi River car ferry built in 1940 at the original Ingalls shipyard in Decatur, Alabama, has been reborn as The Waypoint, perhaps the most luxurious floating hunting and fishing lodge on the Gulf Coast. The Waypoint specializes in bluewater tuna fishing trips and world class duck hunting.
