Yonders bacon in a can has a 10+ year shelf-life, is cooked and ready to eat. But, how does it taste?

There is a guy on YouTube who goes by the name of TheWolfePit.  He does food reviews of various items.  I have watched his videos for several months and feel that he is sincere and honest with his reviews.

In this video, TheWolfePit takes a look at Yonders bacon.

Ingredients

  • Pork
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • Smoke Flavoring
  • Sodium Phosphates, Erythorbate and Nitrite

Overall, I was impressed with everything about Yonders bacon. If TheWolfePit says it taste good, then I trust his opinion.

Why would anyone buy bacon in a can? I have seen the cans for sale on various prepping websites. A 10 year shelf-life is not “that” long when compared to 30 years of freeze dried foods. However, it would be nice to have bacon after the power goes out.

On a personal note, my chickens will sometimes lay up to a dozen eggs a day. When the power goes out, as it does in rural areas, being able to have bacon and eggs without going into my supply of freeze dried food is appealing.

Also, having bacon so it can be added to other meals would help prevent food fatigue.

A question to the community, have you ever seen Yonders bacon in a can?  If you bought some and tried it, please share your thoughts in the comments section.
