Zoom on: the Azara skirt

Today we’re presenting the Azara midi skirt! With its refined details, this elegant skirt will complete your outfit from brunch to dinner!

The Azara skirt was inspired by the 70s trend that has taken over the podiums this year! Sublty flared, this flattering midi skirt is modernized by geometric design lines typical of the Deer&Doe style. This is a versatile shape that will work perfectly made out of a beautiful lightweight wool or even a very supple leather, as well as a batist or a chambray for the late summer.

The pattern

Azara is a high-waisted skirt with a midi length (aboved the knee) and a lining. It offers two versions: version A is buttoned in the front, and version B is closed by an invisible zipper and a button in the back.

This pattern is a level 4/5, with many details that experienced sewists will enjoy! Angled design lines, lining, hand-sewn hem… For more comfort, the waistband is reinforced with twill tape instead of iron-on interfacing: a new technique to discover!

To make sure that your Azara skirt is a success, choose a fabric with enough drape: light wool crepe, rayon twill, loosely woven chambray… Use rayon, silk, or polyester lining fabric for the lining, or skip the lining entirely if you want to wear it without tights in a more summery version.

Get the Azara skirt in the shop, and don’t forget to take advantage of our special offer for the release! Next, we’ll present the Givre dress and tee.
