Houston Firemen

Sometimes in dire situations, you have to be able to think on your feet and improvise in order to accomplish a goal.

This video demonstrates how a group of Houston firemen were forced to adapt their approach to put out a house fire during a major flood.

First responders have been working tirelessly to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey, and this gives you a glimpse of what they’ve been dealing with. Just another day on the job for these Houston firemen, who had to do a bit of quick thinking and improvising once they pulled up to this house fire.

Luckily, Mother Nature just hand delivered an estimated 27 trillion gallons of water to southeast Texas, so these firefighters took advantage. They backed a fishing boat as close to the house as possible, then cranked up the throttle to create a rooster tail large enough to act as a fire hose. Their true ingenuity shows when you see how they’re keeping the boat in place . . .
