“This positive trend is a direct reflection of hunting’s positive public image in North America and our customers’ desire for practical and comprehensive information on white-tailed deer,” said Editor-in- Chief Daniel Schmidt. “The magazine’s founders created the whitetail publishing industry when they came up with the publication’s concept in 1977, and we are dedicated to further educating today’s hunters and tomorrow land stewards.”
Founded in 1977 by the Stump Sitters, Deer & Deer Hunting was the first periodical dedicated to the white-tailed deer, emphasizing the study of deer behavior, biology and physiology along with hunting tactics, population control and land management.
