CWD sampling plan in place for Eau Claire, Clark and Jackson counties for 2017 deer hunting seasons
In cooperation with local businesses, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will collect deer heads for chronic wasting disease surveillance testing during the 2017 archery, crossbow and gun hunting seasons. Hunters who harvest an adult deer within Eau Claire, Clark or Jackson counties are being asked to consider submitting a sample from the deer for chronic wasting disease testing.
