Western Oregon deer hunters will benefit from rainy weather
Black-tailed deer seek shelter from the weather and predators in deep timber, then emerge to feed in clearcuts up to a few years old. The clamor wavered with gusting wind, like sporadic applause, covering every crunch of my boots as I crept along a winding, graveled road.
