Diamondback Firearms’ Latest: 6.5 Creedmoor AR Rifle

Diamondback DB10 6.5 Creedmoor

Recently, Diamondback Firearms announced another edition to its growing line of weapons: the DB1065CB rifle. While the name isn’t terribly memorable, the gun is chambered for the very popular 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge. In fact, the round has become a bit of a darling in the shooting market during the past few years.

The new gun is an AR pattern, semi-automatic rifle. It has a 20″ stainless steel barrel with a 1:8″ twist. The barrel is fluted. Unsurprisingly, the gun uses a rifle length gas system.

Uppers and lowers are forged 7075-T6 aluminum. Surrounding the barrel is a 15″ handguard with M-LOK attachment points. In the back is a Fab Defense GL Shock buttstock. The stock has a recoil reducing mechanism built into it along with a ribbed rubber pad. Also designed into the stock are QD sockets on either side plus a storage compartment for CR123A batteries. Fab Defense also provides the pistol grip.

Other gun features include an ambidextrous safety selector and DB muzzle brake. Diamondback Firearms ships this gun with a 5 round magazine and a 20 round magazine. The total weight (unloaded) is just over nine pounds.

Assuming the gun is reliable with good long range accuracy, the $1,229 (MSRP) price tag will likely be attractive to many shooters.
