Today’s series of photos are a bit odd.
You can see the melee training for the guards of the Maria Theresien Kaserne in Vienna, Austria. This is part of a self-defense training.
They seem quite confident that their Steyr AUGs, including the optics, will withstand quite a lot of beating.
With all the gear and helmets, I can’t help but think about the Ninja Turtles.
The Maria Theresien Kaserne is a set of barracks and serves as an army base in the 13th district of Hietzing. It looks like the soldier to the right has a Glock knife in his chest rig.
All photos by Rainer.
What do you think of their training?
