Lawsuit puts deer-hunting season in jeopardy
As hunters prepare for Saturday’s start of deer season, an animal welfare group has asked a judge to put a stop to rifle-hunting on public land. An industry that breeds deer with big antlers to be shot in fenced hunting preserves contributes to the spread of diseases, an Indianapolis Star investigation has found.
